Volteras at MOVE London: Bringing the SDV conversation to the stage
Volteras joined the MOVE London stage for the Fleet Management in a World of SDVs panel, where CEO Peter Wilson explored how connected vehicle data is driving the shift from reactive to proactive fleet operations — from predictive maintenance to battery State of Health insights.

MOVE London once again proved why it’s one of the most important
gatherings in connected mobility. Across two packed days, Volteras took part in
conversations, demos and panel discussions, joining the stage for the Fleet
Management in a World of SDVs session to explore how software defined
vehicles are reshaping the way fleets operate.
The event was an opportunity for Volteras to show how this shift is already
happening in practice. From discussions at our stand to the sessions across the
venue, the theme that kept resurfacing was how fleets can turn vehicle data
into meaningful operational improvements rather than simply collecting more
of it.
A key moment was our CEO, Peter Wilson, joining the Fleet Management in a
World of SDVs panel alongside Yvonne Gabler of Sixt Van & Truck UK, Matthias
Kempf of LEAP435, and moderator Björn Simon from the Electric Vehicle
Council. The conversation explored how SDVs are reshaping fleet operations,
and Peter made clear that the real opportunity is the ability to use data to
maximise value.
He spoke about the shift from reactive to proactive maintenance, where
connected intelligence can halve maintenance costs and significantly reduce
downtime. He also highlighted the growing importance of battery State of
Health as fleets look to protect residual values and make smarter procurement
decisions.
The panel also touched on the wider operational impact of SDVs, from driver
safety and privacy to the role of AI in making complex data usable for fleet
teams. What emerged clearly is that the intelligence layer sitting on top of SDV
data is becoming a genuine differentiator. Operators who can interpret and act
on this information will run more efficient fleets, make faster decisions and
unlock value that traditional reactive models simply cannot.
Across the event, it was great to demonstrate how Volteras is helping
businesses access this next generation of fleet intelligence. Whether through
predictive maintenance, battery insights or operational optimisation, our
focus is on making connected vehicle data practical, actionable and easy for
teams to integrate into their day-to-day workflows.
MOVE London continues to be a standout event for the industry, and we’re
grateful to everyone who stopped by to learn more about how Volteras is
supporting fleets as SDVs reshape the future of mobility.
